Red foods support blood and heart health as well as healthy joints. Red foods are packed full of vitamins and minerals as well:
Resveratol which neutralizes free radicals and inhibits inflammation.
Capsaicin which is the hot stuff inside chili peppers. It helps to relieve pain and can combat hunger and even burns calories. Pass the chilies please
Lycopene which is a carotenoid that can help reduce the risk of prostate cancer in males and ovarian cancer in females by fighting free radicals.

Orange food prevents cancer and helps with collagen growth. Like red food, orange foods are loaded with vitamins, minerals and:
Curcumin which is found mostly in tumeric is an antioxidant that can help counter the body’s negative responses to high-fat foods.
Beta-Cryptoxanthin is another carotenoid that plans a role in bone and cell growth.
Alpha-Carotene is yet another carotenoid that is converted into vitamin A in the body, and helps support immunity.

We’ve combined blue and purple foods together as many of the benefits of the foods are the same, and really they take on the same color when you cook with them or juice them. Purple and blue foods help your body absorb vitamins and minerals from other foods and are powerful antioxidants. Indoles which help slow the metabolism of carcinogens in the body.
Ellagic Acid is a phytochemical that can lessen the effect of estrogen promoting breast-cancer cell growth.
Anthocyanins which are great antioxidants that improve brain function, balance and may help reduce the risk of cancers and heart disease. Pass the blueberries please!
